Here's the new plush I made. It has a heart-shaped belly and a red bow on her belly. The HeartKat is made of soft ivory fleece and is stuffed with poly fiber pill. The eyes are made of black buttons and measures 6"W x 7"H.

This is a scene from City Mouse and Country Mouse of Aesop fables.

This is what I worked on for my portfolio. I started with a sketch and painted with watercolors but for some reason I did not like the way it came out. I decided to cover up the painting with gouache and acrylics to change the background. Added some trees on the back and red leaves floating in the air.

New illustrations have been updated to my site! The new pieces are mainly done in watercolor with collages incorporated. Here are the little thumbnails!

This is the new piece I worked on last week. I started with a rough sketch and threw some colors first to see if this color scheme would work for a winter theme. I then added cutouts for the cloth. I always liked collages and many artists have inspired me deeply with their beautiful collages/work and wanted to incorporate collages into my work.

The background, white hair, and the snow were added to the piece.

I thought too much white space was shown here and decided to put another character to eliminate the space and balanced it evenly. Added a layer of flying fish to give whimsical and dreamy effect. The paper chair was also added.

so here it is, the finished piece. I haven't painted digitally for months and just realize how much quicker and simpler it is when it comes to make modifications and effects. Incorporating collages into my watercolor is a new step for me and I really enjoyed it.

I bought a sewing machine about a year ago and probably used it only once or twice. The machine had been forgotten and gathering dust in the darkness of my closet. I always told myself that I would make something whenever I have time, but never did. This time I decided to sew some plush.
